Ahmedgarh, 16 February: An official letter issued by Akhil Bhartiya Jagran Sudhar Manch, Punjab, has laid down important guidelines regarding religious decorum and conduct during spiritual events. The organization has clearly stated that dressing up as Hindu deities for dance performances or engaging in any form of misuse of religious symbols will not be tolerated.
According to the letter, portraying gods and goddesses in an entertainment-based manner during religious functions, events, or processions is inappropriate and goes against religious traditions. The organization emphasized that religious programs should be conducted only with devotion, simplicity, and according to traditional practices.
Harish Verma, President of the Ahmedgarh unit of the organization, said that religious activities must reflect faith, dignity, and cultural values. He added that using the image of deities for showmanship or in an objectionable way harms religious sentiments and distorts the sanctity of such occasions.
The letter further mentioned that organizing religious events outside temple premises without proper permission would also be considered against established norms. The organization warned that strict action may be taken in cases where these guidelines are ignored.
The appeal aims to preserve religious traditions and ensure that all spiritual events maintain respect and discipline.
