Ludhiana: Punjabi singer Aman Sahota was seriously injured after being attacked by a group of youths armed with sharp weapons in the Ambedkar Nagar area of Ludhiana on Tuesday night. The reason behind the attack is still unknown, and police have launched an investigation.
According to initial reports, around five unidentified youths allegedly surrounded Aman Sahota and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. The sudden assault left him critically injured.
He was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors stated that his condition was critical. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was later referred to PGI, Chandigarh for advanced treatment.
Doctors at the hospital revealed that Aman Sahota may have suffered a skull fracture. A CT scan has been advised to assess the extent of the internal injuries and confirm the damage.
Aman Sahota, a resident of Himmat Nagar in the Dugri area of Ludhiana, is known for performing at stage shows and local music events.
His friend Arsh Kumar said that Aman had gone to Ambedkar Nagar for some personal work when a group of youths surrounded him and carried out the attack. The motive behind the incident remains unclear so far.
Police officials have started an investigation and are working to identify the attackers. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
