Ahmedgarh will witness the spirit of football once again as the 14th Football Tournament is set to take place from March 13 to March 15 at the Gandhi School Ground. The tournament is being organized by the Ahmedgarh Sports Club and Welfare Society, with the objective of promoting sports culture and encouraging youth participation.
A key preparatory meeting regarding the tournament was recently held in Ahmedgarh. The meeting was chaired by Advocate Arvind Singh Mavi, President of the club. During the discussion, important decisions related to the organization, participation, and overall conduct of the tournament were finalized.
Advocate Arvind Singh Mavi stated that this tournament is a matter of pride for the city. Well-known football clubs from across Punjab are being invited, which will help raise the competitive standard of the event. Attractive prizes will be awarded to outstanding teams and players.
Club Patron Shiv Kumar Buta Sharma emphasized that the main aim of the club is to connect youth with sports and keep them away from social evils. He added that sports not only contribute to physical development but also help inculcate discipline and team spirit among young players. He assured that the club will continue organizing such events in the future as well.
Several club members were specially present during the meeting, including Shiv Kumar Buta Sharma, Pohit Cheema, Banti Cheema, Nirbhay Bhaskar, Gurvinder Singh Gorkha, Rashpal Singh Grewal, Sanjeev Kumar Kala, Shiv Kumar Pappi, Vikash Singh, Venu Gopal Sharma, Rajvinder Singh Sapra, Kulvinder Killa, and Binder Dehlon. Other members of the club were also present and extended their full cooperation to ensure the successful organization of the football tournament.
